The first annual crokinole skills competition was held at the 2007 World Crokinole Championships. Crokinole Depot sponsored and organized the event with the co-operation of the World Crokinole Championship Committee.
The skills competition tests an individuals shot making ability. Points are awarded from 0 to 3 depending on the outcome of each shot. 10 shots and 1 bonus are set up using templates to ensure that each shot is set up the same for each player. Only one attempt is allowed for each shot and competitors are allowed three attempts at the competition.
Separate competitions are held for adult and youth competitors. The event is held on the day of the tournament and competitors test their skills during breaks, before or after tournament play. This years’ competition once again received a lot of positive feedback. The competition is set to be held for the fourth time next year with a different variety of shots being tested.
The 2007, 2008 and 2009 shot listing and points system are available for download so that you can test your skills at home.
